The Trustees have been delighted to meet with Rosy Corbin again. Rosy is a Social Worker with the Post Abuse therapeutic Service in Guernsey and is currently studying towards an MA in Therpeutic Play Therapy, supported by The Little Extras Trust.
Recently she attended a meeting of the trustees and updated them about the course and how she expects that the training will benefit children in Guernsey and the wider community.
Rosy has given the trustees permission to share a letter that she wrote following that meeting.
30th June 2017
Dear Little Extras Trustees,
I want to say how grateful I am for the support you have shown me thus far in my training. The financial aspect of your support is so valuable but alongside that knowing you support me on this training is equally as valuable. So, thank you! I really enjoyed meeting with you this week and updating you all on where I am at in the training.
As we discussed in the meeting on Wednesday I am half way through with my clinical hours, and therefore need ongoing supervision for the rest of the clinical hours. We talked about how important the supervision aspect of my training is and how useful my supervisor has been as part of my process. As well as my hopes that as I complete this training I can then pass on some of my skills and learning to others.
I would like to ask for continued financial support for supervision for the completion of my clinical hours. I have just under 100 left to do!
Thank you again for all you have done so far and for meeting with me on Wednesday.
Kind Regards,
Rosy Corbin
The trustees were unanimous in their decision to continue with their support and wish Rosy all the best as she continues the course. We look forward to hearing more about her role, when she has completed her studies.
