During Terry Waite’s visit to the Island to participate in The Guernsey Literary Festival. He visited the hospital to speak at a session particularly for staff on the theme of Courage and Compassion. His talk was thought-provoking and moving. Terry has a dry sense of humour, which makes him an engaging speaker. At the end of his talk Terry gave an opportunity for those who had come along to ask questions. After the session, he generously gave even more time to meet people informally, pose for photos and eat the delicious buffet, sponsored by Little Extras.
